Adam is an Aerospace & Defense strategy and investment executive with over 19 years of experience in various finance and strategy roles across Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Adam is the newly appointed Vice President of Capital Investments, leading Lockheed Martin Evolve, a wholly-owned subsidiary focused on developing new business models and markets that leverage LM’s four business areas. Adam also serves as Chairman of the Board of Astrotech Space Operations, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary.
Previous to his current role, Adam was Vice President and Head of Enterprise Strategy for the Lockheed Martin Space Business Area, where he developed the LM Space strategic plan and had oversight and leadership responsibilities of all strategic transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, venture capital and strategic investments, and joint ventures.
Prior to that role, Adam was a Director in Lockheed Martin Corporate Development where he led transaction execution activities for Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures and Joint Ventures across Lockheed Martin’s four business areas. In this role, Adam engaged in the identification, qualification, economic valuation, business case development and due diligence processes of acquisition targets.
Adam also previously led the Strategic Investments group for the Lockheed Martin Space business area, leading the acquisitions of Astrotech Space Operations and Zeta Associates, strategic investments and cooperation agreements with Terran Orbital / Tyvak, Rocket Lab of New Zealand, Electro Optic Systems of Australia, negotiation of a controlling interest in the Atomic Weapon Establishment (AWE) of the UK and the proposed formation of Saudi Space Industries Joint Venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, among other deals.
Adam’s deal experience spans four continents and eight countries.
Adam is a graduate of the Lockheed Martin Financial Leadership Development Program where he completed rotations in Financial Planning & Analysis, Pricing / Estimating, Program Finance, and Independent Cost Evaluation across multiple business areas.
Adam earned a Master of Business Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, where his studies focused on Mergers & Acquisitions, Asset Valuation, and International Finance. He also graduated from Colorado State University with a baccalaureate degree in Finance and a minor in Spanish. Adam is a 2013 graduate of the FBI Washington Field Office (WFO) Citizen’s Academy, and an active member of the Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association.
