BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 28, 2025 - Astris AI, a Lockheed Martin company, today announced the integration of NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, including NVIDIA NIM microservices — designated by NVIDIA as government-ready for the public sector and highly regulated environments — into Astris AI Factory, enhancing its deployment across classified and mission-critical programs. Already deployed throughout dozens of air-gapped classified environments, Astris AI Factory’s addition of NIM simplifies and accelerates the accreditation process for existing and future customers operating LLMs, including the NVIDIA Nemotron open models, under the most stringent federal security requirements.
This advancement was made possible through close collaboration with Lockheed Martin teams, whose deep domain expertise in classified and mission-critical environments shaped the design choices and operational patterns integrated into Astris AI Factory. Astris AI is one of Lockheed Martin’s latest commercial innovations, bringing proven secure AI capabilities to market to meet growing demand from federal and other high-assurance sectors.
X-Bow, an advanced manufacturing solid rocket motor company, is the first launch customer to adopt these newly‑enabled capabilities within the Astris AI Factory. By embedding the NVIDIA NIM and NeMo Retriever microservices, the company can develop a secure AI Proposal Generation Agent that can instantly draw on multiple large‑language models while securely retrieving proprietary technical data. This will enable them to accelerate government bid preparation, improve proposal accuracy, and reduce response times.
Why It Matters
Programs operating under strict federal and highly regulated security requirements need both speed to mission and predictable accreditation.
The addition of NIM microservices enhances Astris AI Factory’s existing framework by providing standardized, policy-governed inference aligned with STIG baselines, FIPS 140-3 validated cryptography (where applicable), and continuous vulnerability monitoring and remediation (including CISA KEVs).
These integrated components make accreditation faster and more repeatable while maintaining the same trusted, defense-grade operational model proven across Lockheed Martin’s internal AI deployments. No specific authorization is asserted.
Availability and Procurement
Astris AI Factory with NVIDIA NIM microservices is available through:
● Direct commercial licensing and services from Astris AI
● Oracle Cloud Marketplace for enterprise cloud deployments
● Federal pathways, including NASA SEWP and GSA MAS
This integration leverages NVIDIA AI Factory for Government and builds on Astris AI Factory’s longstanding presence across air-gapped and classified programs to further strengthen its ability to support accreditation and governance high-assurance customers through a commercial path to market led by Astris AI, a Lockheed Martin company.
Expert Perspective

“Federal and high-assurance programs require both agility and control,” said James Droskoski, CRO, Astris AI. “By collaborating with Lockheed Martin domain experts and integrating the latest NVIDIA AI Enterprise software platform into Astris AI Factory, we’re making accreditation faster and operations more repeatable-while maintaining the proven, secure AI foundation already deployed across classified environments.

“Operationalizing AI for government work demands solutions built for secure data, robust compliance and rapid time to value,” said Justin Boitano, vice president, enterprise AI products, NVIDIA. “With NVIDIA AI now integrated in the Astris AI Factory, agencies have a scalable, trusted platform to put intelligence to work in service of mission requirements.”

“Mission-ready AI depends on repeatable, secure operations,” said Greg Forrest, vice president, AI Foundations and Commercialization, Lockheed Martin. “Through our long-standing field experience in classified and mission-critical environments, we worked closely with Astris AI to make these capabilities easier to accredit and commercially accessible to a broader set of federal and high-assurance customers.”
